Kareem, the puppet, and other cast members of The Protestants

Kareem, a lead character, who is also a puppet , is operated by his nurse. He is worn on his nurse’s legs.

The puppeteer’s legs become the puppet’s legs.  Thus, she is not only operating him, she is part of him.

Flowers pictured are also handmade pieces from the set of this show. The stage floor was eventually covered by scattered flowers. And, new flowers were continuously made throughout the run of the show.
