I Stand For Nothing - Stage Floor Design
The images here are of a stage floor painting for Old Kent Road Theater’s production I Stand For Nothing.
The Ontological-Hysteric Theater stage is a solid black floor. But, for the run of this show I painted this drawing on the theater floor.
The wood panels are a faux painting. When the show is over, the floor goes back to black.
Elevated seating in this theater turns the stage floor into a sort of scenic element that the set and actors can work WITH. Note some of the cast moving within the drawing and using the floor as another element in the show.
Also included is an early picture of the floor in process.
